Atlanta Gold Cup Pickleball Tournament Hits ITP Nov 7-8

The Atlanta Gold Cup runs November 7 and 8, 2026 at ITP Training Academy, 3110 Presidential Dr, Atlanta, GA 30340. The tournament is open to players rated 2.5 through 5.0, with divisions split first by skill level and then by age group. Most entrants play seven to nine matches: round robin pool play followed by single elimination brackets. Doubles starts Saturday morning, mixed doubles Sunday morning, and singles is slotted into one of the two afternoons.

Registration runs through APA Tournaments, with early bird pricing at $60 for a first event, $45 for a second event entered the same weekend, and $25 for a third. Players link a DUPR account when they sign up, registration closes the Tuesday before the event, and the bracket schedule posts the Wednesday before. Other places to play pickleball in Atlanta

ITP Training Academy runs its camps and leagues out of Presidential Drive in Doraville, but it is not the only place to find a court around Atlanta. Three permanent facilities are worth knowing about if you are in town for the tournament or just looking for open play.

  • Atlanta Pickleball Center, 1359 Ellsworth Industrial Blvd NW in West Midtown: 10 indoor, climate-controlled courts, booked through a one-time court fee, with a reduced rate for students on weekday afternoons from 2 to 6 p.m. with valid ID.
  • Painted Pickle, 279 Ottley Dr NE at Armour Yards between Buckhead and Midtown: indoor courts inside a full restaurant and bar, booked court by court rather than drop-in open play.
  • Piedmont Park, at the Sharon Lester Tennis Center, 400 Park Dr NE: 12 lighted hard courts available for pickleball by reservation in 2-hour blocks, Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 8 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., closed Sunday.

Piedmont Park is the only outdoor option of the three and the only one with a shot at a lower-cost session, though a block still has to be reserved ahead rather than claimed first-come. Atlanta Pickleball Center and Painted Pickle both keep their courts indoor and climate-controlled, which matters on a wet November weekend like tournament weekend or in Atlanta's August heat.
