Anchorage has eight active pickleball venues, split between a seasonal outdoor complex, two membership gyms and several city recreation centers. Here is what each one actually offers right now, checked against the operators' own pages on November 1, 2026.
Chester Creek Sports Complex is closed for the winter
Chester Creek Sports Complex at 1860 A St has 12 outdoor courts and is the largest pickleball site in the city, run by the Anchorage Pickleball Club on municipal land. The outdoor season runs April 27 through September 30, with open play Wednesday through Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Members play free; non-members pay $10 a day. The season already ended for the year, so the courts stay closed until next spring. See the full listing.
Indoor open play at The Alaska Club
With Chester Creek shut down for winter, the two Alaska Club locations in our directory carry the indoor load. The Alaska Club East at 5201 E Tudor Rd runs open play Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 2 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., and weekends from 8 to 11 a.m. The Alaska Club South at 10931 O'Malley Centre Dr has a longer schedule: Monday and Wednesday 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Tuesday and Thursday 6 to 8:30 a.m. and noon to 2 p.m., Friday 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. after a paid workshop slot, Saturday 8 to 11 a.m. and Sunday 9 to 11 a.m. Both locations require a membership or a guest check-in at the front desk; neither lists a walk-in day-pass price. The Alaska Club East, The Alaska Club South.
Spenard Community Recreation Center
Spenard Community Recreation Center at 2020 W 48th Ave, run by the Municipality of Anchorage, holds open play Wednesday and Friday from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. and Sunday from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. See the full listing.
