Portland Parks & Recreation lists six free outdoor pickleball locations and three fee-based indoor drop-in community centers on its official pickleball page, current as of October 22, 2026. Between the city-run courts and the area's private clubs, Portland has 18 active pickleball venues in our directory.
Free outdoor courts
Six Portland Parks & Recreation locations have free, first-come pickleball courts open dawn to dusk, no reservation needed. Columbia Park at 4503 N Lombard St and Sellwood Park at 7987 SE Grand Ave each have 8 outdoor hard courts with permanent lines; players bring their own net. Pier Park at 10325 N Lombard St has 4 outdoor concrete courts, also bring-your-own-net. Laurelhurst Park at 3789 SE Oak St and Gabriel Park at 4508 SW Nevada St have 2 and 6 pickleball-only courts, both with nets already installed. Hillside Park at 653 NW Culpepper Terrace has 1 outdoor pickleball-only court, bring your own net; the community center building next to it is leased to Lincoln Youth Soccer and no longer runs city programming. Indoor drop-in courts
Three Portland Parks & Recreation community centers run indoor pickleball drop-in for $6 per adult and $5 per senior. East Portland Community Center at 740 SE 106th Ave has 4 courts. Southwest Community Center at 6820 SW 45th Ave has 5 courts. Montavilla Community Center at 8219 NE Glisan St has 3 courts. All three take drop-ins without advance registration; call Parks & Recreation reservations at (503) 823-2525 to confirm the current session times before visiting.
Seasonal outdoor courts
Portland Tennis Center at 324 NE 12th Ave has 16 outdoor hard courts that convert to pickleball mixer sessions from mid-June through early September, with nets provided and no reservation required for mixer play.
Membership and drop-in clubs
For indoor play outside the parks system, Jumbo's Pickleball at 2320 Lloyd Center runs 8 indoor courts on the mall's third floor, with membership and drop-in options. Pickleball Kingdom at 16221 NE Airport Way has 12 indoor courts near Portland International Airport, membership required with non-member day pricing available. The People's Courts at 2700 NE 82nd Ave has 12 total courts (6 indoor, 6 outdoor) with open play sessions priced at $16 for 1.5 to 2 hours.
