Portland, ME has 10 active places to play pickleball in our directory, split between a city park with eight courts, a six-court community complex, and five indoor or membership facilities. Court counts, fees and the current open gym schedule below were checked against the City of Portland and South Portland recreation department sites on October 22, 2026.

Deering Oaks Park: 8 outdoor courts

Deering Oaks Park, at State St., Park Ave. and Deering Ave., has eight pickleball courts, listed on the city's booking system as 5A/5B through 8A/8B. Organized open play runs daily from about 8 AM to 1 PM, and the city holds at least a quarter of the eight courts as drop-in only at no charge during open hours. Any court can also be reserved ahead of time for $25 an hour for Portland residents or $30 an hour for non-residents, a rate that runs through December 31, 2026. • Redbank Community Center, 105 MacArthur Circle West: 3 courts. The Thursday evening open gym runs 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM through December 11, 2026.
  • South Portland Community Center, 21 Nelson Rd: 6 courts. Its weekday morning open gym runs on a school-year schedule, so check the department's site before driving over since sessions pause between terms.
