Cincinnati's directory on this site carries 19 active pickleball venues. On September 26, 2026 we checked three of the sources behind those listings, Cincinnati Parks' own announcement for Sawyer Point, the Anderson Park District's court page, and the Cincinnati Pickleball Club's own venue page for Withrow High School, line by line against what we had published. Nothing needed a hard correction, but the most repeated number in the city, Sawyer Point's "24 courts," turned out to mean something more specific than most listings let on.
Sawyer Point's 24 courts are not all pickleball every day
Cincinnati Parks' own grand-opening announcement for the Sawyer Point Pickleball Courts states it plainly: "There are 18 dedicated pickleball courts, 3 tennis courts and 6 additional overlayed pickleball courts with the ability to provide 24 pickleball courts for national tournaments." In other words, on a normal day a player heading to Sawyer Point will find 18 courts painted and dedicated to pickleball. The other 6 are tennis courts with pickleball lines overlaid on them, and the city only opens those as pickleball for tournament play. Our listing's court count of 24 is accurate as the complex's full tournament capacity, so we left it as is, but if you are counting on 24 open pickleball courts for a Tuesday afternoon drop-in session, plan on 18.
Anderson Township: free, drop-in, no posted schedule
Two of our Cincinnati-area listings, Clear Creek Park and Kellogg Park, sit under the Anderson Park District rather than the city of Cincinnati. Its sports courts page confirms 6 pickleball courts at each park and describes them as first come, first served: "Non-reserved courts are available for drop-in play on a first-come, first-served basis." There is no posted weekly open play schedule at either park. A group can request exclusive use of a court through the district's reservation system, and when a court is not reserved, it is open. Our counts of 6 courts at each park already matched, so this is a confirmation, not a correction, but it is worth knowing before you drive out expecting a scheduled open play block like the ones some indoor clubs run.
Withrow High School: shared with tennis, almost always open
The Withrow High School courts are organized informally through the Cincinnati Pickleball Club rather than a city department. The club's own venue page describes 8 shared courts on the school's outdoor tennis surface and calls play "almost always available," with the caveat that the Cincinnati Tennis Foundation's programming can occasionally claim the space in spring and summer. That matches our listing of 8 courts, free, with players expected to bring their own net.
What we could not confirm today
Cincinnati Recreation Commission runs indoor and outdoor pickleball at several neighborhood centers we list, including Eastside Recreation Center, Pleasant Ridge Community Center, College Hill Recreation Center, Clifton Community Center and Lunken Playfield. CRC's pickleball program pages link out to a registration system that would not return facility-level open play times to us today, so we are not printing hours we could not read ourselves. The phone numbers on each of those venue pages are the fastest way to confirm a specific day's schedule until we can verify it directly.
