Baltimore Pickleball Courts: Free City Spots vs Club Volo

Baltimore has pickleball courts in three categories: free outdoor courts at city parks, paid outdoor courts at Club Volo's two locations, and indoor courts at dedicated facilities or private clubs. Here is what each actually offers, checked against the city's own announcements and each venue's own site.

Free outdoor courts at Baltimore City parks

Patterson Park at 101 S Linwood Ave has 10 outdoor courts, free, dawn to dusk. Bring your own net.

Clifton Park at 2701 St Lo Dr has 3 lit outdoor courts with portable nets, free, dawn to dusk.

Latrobe Park at 1425 E Fort Ave has 3 lit outdoor courts with portable nets, free, dawn to dusk.

Druid Hill Park on Shop Rd has 2 outdoor courts with permanent nets already in place, free, dawn to dusk.

Solo Gibbs Pickleball Courts at 126 W Henrietta St has 2 outdoor courts, free, bring your own net.

Riverside Park at 1801 Johnson St has 1 lit outdoor court with a permanent net, free. The city built it as a stand-alone pickleball court during Riverside Park's $2.3 million renovation, with Mayor Scott and the Department of Recreation and Parks cutting the ribbon on June 18, 2024. It is the only one of Baltimore's free courts the city itself built specifically for the sport rather than adding lines to an existing tennis court.

Paid outdoor courts at Club Volo

Club Volo Brewers Hill at 1201 S Haven St in Canton has 6 outdoor acrylic courts. Rental runs $12 to $50 an hour depending on time slot, reserved online or through membership. Courts are open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4pm to 11pm, Tuesday and Thursday from 7am to 10am and again 4pm to 11pm, Saturday 10am to 5pm, and Sunday 10am to 7pm.

Club Volo at Baltimore Peninsula at 300 E Cromwell St has 11 outdoor courts at the same $12 to $50 an hour pricing. Hours run Monday through Thursday 5pm to 10pm, Friday 5pm to 9pm, and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 5pm.

Indoor courts

Pickleball House at 1330 Innovation St has 8 indoor courts, open 8am to 10pm daily, with a daily fee or membership options.

Coppermine Racquet & Fitness Club at 1420 Clarkview Rd has 6 indoor courts for members.

Membership-only clubs

Three more Baltimore-area clubs offer pickleball to members or residents only: Baltimore Country Club (2 outdoor courts), Quarry Lake (2 outdoor courts, residents and members), and Pine Valley Swim & Tennis Club (3 lit outdoor courts).
