APP Next Kansas City Returns to Chicken N Pickle Oct. 23-25

APP Next, the Association of Pickleball Players' development tour for players ages 16 to 23, comes to the Kansas City area October 23 through 25, 2026. The stop runs at Chicken N Pickle's Overland Park location, 5901 W. 135th St., Overland Park, Kansas, just across the state line from Kansas City, Missouri. What APP Next Kansas City includes

Entry is $450 and covers three days of open-bracket play, meaning players compete together without separation by skill level or age inside the 16-23 range. Registration also includes on-court training sessions and seminars led by Ken Herrmann and an APP National Team Coach, plus a $30 Chicken N Pickle gift card to use during the event. APP's own event page states players are accepted first come, first served, with no published cutoff date, and encourages registering early through either the APP website or Pickleball Den.

APP Next tournaments use open brackets on purpose. A 16 year old and a 23 year old can land on the same side of the net, and the three days mix bracket matches with coaching instead of being pure elimination rounds. That format is specific to this age-development tour; it is not how the main APP or PPA pro stops run.
